Another Custom Quilt

I have been meaning to post this for quite some time, like, 2 years... This is the quilt that I made for J as part of my proposal. It is a little lap quilt, just right for a nap or a hug if I am away. She really is the best.

Marian's Quilt

This is a one-of-a-kind commissioned by A+B for B's mom's 60th birthday. The request was red, white and blue with lots of birds. I did a twist on the sparkle punch quilt and used some Charley Harper along with a handful of other bird related fabrics.

It was such a treat and now living in it's new home across the pond!

New and Old

Not a great picture, but this is a little wrap I have been working on using dress shirt sample fabric swatches. I have been sorting the stash, trying to finish up some long ago started projects and thinking about a new quilt for our new bedroom.

I also have a great quilt heading across the pond soon and will post pictures once it has been delivered.

New Routines

Someone posted this on Facebook last week and I really liked the graphics. I always do better with a routine, so I am trying to get back on schedule.

The Humans

I just finished reading this great novel by Matt Haig and love, LOVED it! I highly recommend it.

For 87 reasons check this out (I think there were 97 in the book), like I said, I just finished it.

Smart. Funny. Earnest.

And there is a dog.

If You Change Your Mind...

... I am listening to ABBA right now.

I decided that I would focus on pet stories over at see with your nose and I will start posting all the other stuff of life over here. Good thing I didn't delete it all!

Remember that time... *Originally posted June 6/14 on see with your nose*

... we listed our house, sold it within a week, bought another a week later, had the closing date on the new house 5 days before our wedding which was to be hosted in the back yard of the house we sold, made most of the food for our wedding, cleaned up, packed up and moved 5 days after we got married?!

Well, we haven't done all of this yet, but the house selling and buying has happened. The wedding is 2 weeks from tomorrow and we get possession of the new place in a week and a half.

I think that when all of this is over we will take a deep breath and have a long nap!
