Gift Certificate

This is a gift certificate I designed for crafty red fox.

New Books!

I had ordered some books in the past few weeks. I am very bad for online shopping when I'm bored and and Richard Sala comics were on sale!

From the top down are: Peculia and the Groon Grove Vampires, Mad Night and Chuckling Whatsit all by Richard Sala, Hand Job: A Catalog of Type by Michael Perry and Comics, Comix and Graphic Novels a Phaidon Press release. The type and Comic/Comix collection were both purchased with my Design History classes in mind.

As for the discounted Richard Sala books, he is one of my new comic crushes. The drawing are fantastic and the stories are always dark and funny! If you like vampires and psychopaths, in humorous stories definitely check him out!

One Week

When Ben Tyler (Joshua Jackson of TV's Dawson'sCreek and Fringe) is diagnosed with a terminal illness, he decides he has to shake up what's rest of his life. He impulsively buys a vintage motorcycle and sets off on a Trans-Canada adventure, much to the dismay of his concerned fiancée (Liane Balaban, Seven Times Lucky). Writer-director Michael McGowan (Saint Ralph, KCFF '05) crafts a graceful balance between generous comedy, emotional gravity, and gorgeous scenery in this love-letter to all that is iconic and unique about Canada. Featuring a very funny cameo by The Tragically Hip's Gord Downie as a motel philosopher.

Check it out at the Kingston Canadian Film Festival.
