Moving Madness

Even though we pledged to stay in our current apartment until we bought a house we are moving again this Summer. Mom and Al are heading on great sea adventure down the ICW (Intracoastal Waterway, for you land lovers) for the next 8 - 10 months and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to have a whole house, with laundry, a fantastic kitchen and pets allowed. We have moved the majority of our 'stuff' and just have a few bigger items to bring. The plan is to be all moved in by June 30. We are also hoping that Mom and Al will have moved onto the boat at this point so that we aren't in each other's way.

In preparation for this move there has been some serious de-junking of the basement, some painting and even a few small renos, with more painting and small renos to come. The first of which will be making a cat hole in the hall wall for Finnegan.

I'll post some pics as we get set up and once we're settled there will be back yard bbqs for those in the area AND I promise to start posting more creative and crafty things.

A Year in the Making

After starting nearly a year ago, I finally finished the binding on my first quilt. It is done. Complete. With wonky corners and everything (photos to come).

A New Addition: Finnegan

After waiting ages to get a pet SAS and I took the plunge yesterday. Finnegan, has already made himself quite comfy in our home and hearts. Now we're waiting on his brother Casey to be adoption ready. (keep your fingers crossed)

Ode to Coal-Man

Coal was our beloved, cranky and spirited toy poodle mix. He was almost 14, with no teeth, a bad heart and what we most recently discovered was renal failure. He wasn't in great shape Sunday night and we went to the vet with a sick puppy and came home with heavy hearts.

Helping with crafts.

Festive Christmas Gear.

My favourite shot of the old guy.

We'll miss you little buddy :(

Thrift Finds

I've been 'charity shopping with friends A & G and SAS & I have been checking out the thrift shops lately and had a good haul at the Value Village 50% off sale. We scored these bags in the luggage department. The green is a bowling ball bag.

We've amassed quite a scarf collection and 50s, 60s printed cups and pitchers and I've been filling out my YA collection too!
