Holy Blog Neglect Batman! I have obviously been quite distracted of late. A lot has happened since the last post. I had a great time at the Reelout Festival over its 10 day run at the end of January/beginning of February. I have a new room mate the fantabulous KHK and we have been attending puppy school with the beast, who has been growing like a bad weed.
The sleeping puppy.
I have been slacking off on a lot of stuff lately, but am getting back on track and just hosted my third Itch to Stitch (monthly craft night) on Sunday.
The ladies busy stitching away.
KHK working on the loom and ECW knitting.
This is my latest piece, one of a set of three commissioned by a design client.
I am just working on putting on the binding and then some embellishments. It's my first real 'art quilt' and so far I'm quite happy with it. It's about 4.5-5' by 1'.
I just realized the above pics didn't have the tree trunks in. This one does.
I'm really looking forward to finishing the set and at that point the client might host a bit of an open house to showcase/promote them/me, so I have some serious sewing to do in the mean time.
