Back at the Sewing Table. Finally!

So I haven't posted about anything sewing related in ages, but I have been up so some things. In addition to cutting a mad amount of fabric I have finished a tiny quilt top, now for some boarder and binding action!

Some embellishments on one of my favourite hoodies.

And a little sketchbook decorating.

Stay tuned for more to come...

I Can Do It!

So yesterday was my longest training run yet. 18km! It was actually pretty nice, not too hot with lots of leaves turning orange and red. The race is about a month away and I only need to add another 3km to this distance!

It's great to know that you can trust your body to take so far.

September Twenty-What?!

(30 FQs for the 30 year-old from the fabulous craftyredfox)

This month has been totally insane and for no really good reason. Or maybe?! I have my mom here visiting for 3 weeks, my sister was visiting for four days too and we celebrated our birthdays (Sept 10 + 12) together. I crossed the big line dividing the 20s and the 30s and am settling into being a 30 year-old. This past week I have been fighting off a cold while volunteering at the Kingston Writer's Fest. I have also been cutting fabric in anticipation of some fab new projects AND I splurged on a new iMac and spent several days transferring files, tagging photos and organizing the new machine. (I may have enjoyed a few movies on the rockin' 27" screen too!)

More photos soon I promise!

The Sketchbook Project

Last week I received my sketchbook for the sketchbook project! My theme is 'Blankets, Jackets and Sheets.' I have been mad busy and haven't put even a pencil mark in it yet, but I intend to funk up the cover and get to work. I won't get the book back, so I will post pages as I complete them.
