Several months ago I asked my dear partner, who is Jewish, what she wanted to do for the winter festive season, how she wanted to celebrate and she said whole heartedly that she wanted a tree, presents, the whole works. This of course included a stocking.
This stocking task has been on my to-do list for several weeks and this morning I couldn't sleep and decided it was time for a stocking. When I asked about colours yesterday, ORANGE was the response. I dug through my stash early this morning and the Lizzy House, Castle Peeps was the only thing with orange.
When J got up and saw what I was working on, she said it had to have a Star of David, I was and still am fairly certain that is inappropriate, but she assured me it was her stocking and that was how she wanted it!
Here is the final product. We'll raise a sock and a glass to celebrating in our own way!

I'm sure it doesn't look like much but this photo represents many, many hours of stitching over the past month and a half. There are 3 sets of 6 placemats, one of 4 and one of 8 as well as a table runner and set of 12 napkins.
They are all going in the post today and I will get on with other gifts that I haven't even thought about until today!
Happy Christmas making to you all!
